Description of Datacolor Spyder

• Datacolor Spyder is for creative individuals who want to ensure that the images you capture, create, edit, and view on your screen are reproduced as color-accurately as possible. Manually calibrating your monitor (laptop/desktop) is the first important step in making this a reality. It ensures a color-accurate starting point for editing, allowing you to express your creative vision and share your work as precisely as possible, both digitally and in print.
  
  Although monitors and displays may come calibrated from the factory, it is important that you calibrate your screen. You should calibrate your screen every two weeks, and before any color-critical work. With Datacolor Spyder, calibration only takes about 90 seconds.
  
  Datacolor's exclusive Device PreviewTM Beta feature gives you an impression of how your photographic images may look on other devices without needing to use the actual devices. You can also use this feature to soft-proof how your prints will look for a specific printer model, paper, and ink, as well as print service provider using an ICC printer profile.
  
  

  Should I choose Datacolor Spyder or Datacolor SpyderPro

  
  The two devices are similar in many ways, but there are differences. That's why we’ve also created a comparison table, which you can find under the images above. The most significant difference is the screen's "Luminance". Many newer screens have high Luminance, and there you can only use the Pro model.
